COVID19 UPDATE
Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all safe and well. Most of us are taking life day by day and travel is probably the last thing on your mind right now. I would like to share with you how Namaste Yoga Retreats is dealing with COVID19, so when you are ready to start planning for the future, you can do so stress free.
Our One Day Retreats to Just Right Farm have been cancelled. The March retreat attendees have been refunded and the May retreat refunds are going out now. The international spring and fall retreats have been rescheduled.
Anguilla has been rescheduled for November 11-16, 2020 (4 Spots Available)
Galapagos has been rescheduled for December 6-12, 2020
(2 Spots Available)
Peru has been rescheduled for June 12-19, 2021 (6 Spots Available)
Guests will receive a full refund when a retreat is cancelled, however most retreats will be rescheduled. To reschedule a retreat I need to consider season, weather and the availability of our host location. Organizing an international retreat involves a full year of planning and preparation. Most, if not all, of the retreat is paid in full before we arrive in the country.
Cancelling is a major challenge and involves significant fees. It is not just the hotel that needs to be cancelled, all of the local travel, excursions, meals and events involve different contacts. When an international retreat is cancelled, it is not one phone call. I have to reach out to several different people and each contact has a different cancellation policy. All cancellations involve fees.
As most of you know, I only use small businesses for my retreats. Airport hotels are sometimes required to get to our final destination, but that is the only time we use a chain hotel. All small businesses are struggling right now, especially those in the travel industry. Cancellations are not only a challenge for my retreat business, but they also put a strain on all of the small, family owned businesses that I work with. When we cancel, it affects; the hotel owners and workers, the tour boat owners and staff, the tour guides, the local healers and even my friends Beverly and Michael in Anguilla, who sell jewelry and cover ups on the beach. This pause in the travel industry has had such an extreme trickle down effect. I am sharing all of this with you so you have a better understanding of my policy.
When COVID19 affects an international retreat, the retreat will be rescheduled. If you are unable to make the new date your payments will be held as a credit for a future retreat. There is no expiration. I will honor your credit for whenever you are ready to travel again. Some locations have cancellation cut off dates, so I will contact all retreat guests prior to this date to see where your comfort level is with travel. If you received this email, than you should have no problem receiving the "check in email" when I send it. It is your responsibility to respond to the "check in email" when it arrives. If you do not, you may lose your ability to cancel without penalty. Please keep the lines of communication open. Your cooperation on this is appreciated. I hope you all understand that I am doing my best to be as flexible as possible and keep my business through this pandemic.
Studio spacing on retreats will also be considered. For most retreats I will be running more classes than usual. Students will be asked to sign up for classes in advance, so everyone can get their mat time and we can keep proper spacing.
Airlines are also offering more flexibility due to COVID19. Every airline has a different policy. If you are considering a trip, please make sure that you shop around. Many airlines are allowing you to change your flight to a later date without penalty.
When travel restrictions are lifted, there will be some of you who will be eager to jump right on a plane and others who will need more time. I hope that this policy brings you some peace of mind and allows you to plan for adventures of the future worry free.
Stay healthy and safe out there and please be kind to one another.
Best Wishes,
Tricia
