Project give a voice
Please read. We need your help!

We have been visiting the Sol y Luna school since 2017. Every year we reach out to the school to ask what the children need. Some years it is diapers and wipes. Other years it is learning and sensory tools and some years it is soap and hand sanitizer.

Every year, we deliver the supplies and I lead a yoga class in my "perfect Spangish" LOL. The class is for the kids, but our retreat guests often join in. The kids are so social and friendly that no one wants to sit on the sidelines. The children in this program are all non verbal or have significantly limited speech. It always amazes me that they are so happy, even with all of their challenges.

Many of you already know that we have a child who is non verbal. He communicates with an iPad and it has been life changing for him. Before Aidan learned to speak with his iPad he was agitated, frustrated and often down right angry. Aidan is very smart and has an awesome personality. He is sweet, silly, sarcastic and can even be a bit bossy. All of this without a voice! Once Aidan learned to use his iPad he was able to share his true personality. He was not an angry and explosive person. He was a little boy trapped in a body without a voice. Try to imagine this and how it would feel to live this way. Having all of your thoughts, but no voice to express them. Could you live without your voice?

For years I have wanted to introduce iPads to these kids, but the technology is useless without the training. So I thought, why not bring the the training as well? To do this, I need your help
SO, LET ME INTRODUCE....................................................................
