local Our retreat will be held at a beautiful boutique hotel overlooking the bay of Zakros in Crete, Greece. This small village has great beachfront restaurants with authentic cuisine. There is a quiet beach where you can spend an afternoon lounging in the sun or splashing in the gentle waves. The town is at the bottom of the hill, so a moderate level of fitness is required to attend this retreat. We will be walking up and down the hill for dinner and visits to shore.
Our hotel is also just a short drive from Xerokampus beach, which boasts "the best beaches" on Crete. We will have a day in Xerokampos for beach time and lunch. We also have two private boat charters on our schedule. The dramatic coastlines are what the Greek Islands are known for, so I thought we should have more than one day to explore. There are three great hiking trails within walking distance of the hotel: the gorge, the cave trail and the seaside trail. This area has such beautiful energy. It is a special place to get outside and connect with nature.
