Travel Details
Getting to the Galapagos is not easy, but it is worth it!
Below you will find some information to help you start planning. I will also be sharing my travel itinerary with the group, so you are always welcome to travel with me.
The airport code for the Galapagos is GPS. The easiest way to get there is to fly through Miami to Guayaquill (MIA - GYE) From there we fly GYE to GPS. We will be booking through American Airlines.
I recommend an overnight stay in Guayaquill on both ends of the trip. It is not required, but it is the most comfortable option. If you are going to stay in Guayaquill, I would prefer that you stay in the same hotel as the group. Guayaquill is not a very safe city. You will be safe in the hotel, but it is not recommended that tourists go out at night and tourists are asked to stay in the downtown area. There is nothing to see outside the downtown/boardwalk area, so need to go anywhere else.
Once we arrive at GPS a guide will meet us and bring us to the hotel.
